Our flow indicator valves are available in bronze, iron, carbon steel, stainless steel or PVC The following describes several styles of visual indication available for many of our sight flow indicators:
Plain - These flow indicator valves show flow without the use of internal indicators. They operate effectively in any position.
Drip Tube - These flow indicator valves have a drip tube on the media entry end in order to pass low or intermittent flow directly into the viewing area. They have no obstructions and are best adapted for downward, vertical flow.
Flapper - These flow indicator valves have a hinged flap visible through the viewing window that indicates changes in flow rates by the position on the flap. They are best suited for flow indication of transparent or slightly opaque solutions. They can be used with horizontal flow or upward vertical flows.
Rotor - A rotor spins to indicate flow in these flow indicator valves. Flow indication at a distance is possible with dark as well as transparent flow. These indicators can be mounted horizontally or vertically.
